(🇪🇸) Llevo unos meses haciendo un ejercicio que me está sirviendo mucho para normalizar el vello de las axilas: de vez en cuando busco en internet imágenes de chicas super guapas que no se depilan, y me fuerzo a consumir estas imágenes como si fueran la norma, en vez de una anomalía. Ver a otras mujeres sin depilar me ayuda a romper con esa máxima que nos han enseñado desde pequeñas que nos dice que si tienes vello eres menos guapa, menos atractiva. Imposible de desear. Tambi…én me ayuda a no sentirme sola en esto. – Ya sabéis cuál es mi discurso: que cada una haga lo que quiera. Yo también lo haré. Lo que me molesta no es que las mujeres nos depilemos, sino que lo hagamos forzadas por unas reglas sociales que no tenemos la posibilidad de transgredir, so pena de sufrir la crítica de nuestro entorno. ¿Tenéis algún truquito propio para normalizar todo este asunto? 💖 • • • • (🇺🇸) I have been doing an exercise for a few months that is helping me a lot to normalize armpit hair: from time to time I search the internet for images of super pretty girls who don’t shave, and I force myself to consume these images as if they were the norm, instead of an exception. Seeing other women without waxing helps me break the idea that if you have hair you are less pretty, less attractive. Impossible to desire. It also helps me not to feel alone in this. – You know what my speech is: Let each one do what they want. I’ll do it too. What bothers me is not that women shave, but that we do it forced by social rules that we don’t have the possibility to question, under pain of being criticized by our environment.
